Los Angeles, CA – February 6, 2017 – LAUP, a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of early learning, is pleased to announce that Senior Advisor and former CEO, Dr. Celia C. Ayala, will serve as a commissioner on Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon’s Blue Ribbon Commission on Early Childhood Education. The mission of the newly formed commission is to develop solutions that improve outcomes for California’s youngest learners and their families.

Dr. Ayala is one of nine community members joining the Blue Ribbon Commission, which is co-chaired by Assemblymembers Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens) and Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento).
